The Knights organization began in 1882 when Father Michael McGivney and a small group of pioneering Catholics founded it. it has grown to 1.7 million members and is the world's largest Catholic lay organization. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, the community, families and young people.Our local council (#5266) is also active in many philanthropic areas including the Okarche Center of Family Love, Special Olympics of Oklahoma, and Birth Choice, just to name a few.
